Dr. Kaaren Howe, Medical Director,
has worked in Minnetonka
veterinary clinics since ninth grade. She received her D.V.M. from the
University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 1990. She
has been the primary care provider at Minnetonka Animal Hospital
since 1994. She is certified in Veterinary Practice Administration from
Purdue University Krannert Graduate School of Management. Her
passion is well-pet care, western medicine and ensuring that the care
clients and patients receive exceeds their expectation.

Dr. Leilani Hotaling
received her D.V.M. from the University of
Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 1991. She was certified
by the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society in 1999, certified
as Veterinary Chiropractor in 2000, certified in Canine Rehabilitation
in 2006, and received extensive training in western and eastern
medicine. She has developed and implemented a successful integrated
program that includes acupuncture, herbs, nutritional consultation,
chiropractic and conventional western medicine. Dr. Leilani's
customized and unique program has fostered the human animal bond
by providing clients additional choices for their chronically ill pets
or those with behavior problems. Her unique approach to animal
care enables the improvement of companion animal's quality of life,
provides options when other medical and surgical options have been
exhausted and counsels clients on how to cope with their companion's
challenges or end of life issues.

Dr. Katja Wucherer
graduated from the University Of Minnesota College Of Veterinary Medicine in June 2006. She
completed a rotating internship through internal medicine, surgery and emergency at the U of MN's Veterinary Medical
Center in June 2007 & has been with Minnetonka Animal Hospital since. Her internship provided the equivalent of
three years in private practice in one year. Her interests are internal medicine, soft tissue surgery and geriatrics.
Dr. Katja also thoroughly enjoys emergency and critical care and you may occasionally find her at one of the surrounding
emergency clinics at the weekends. She lives in St. Paul with her husband Matthew, 4 cats, 2 hermit crabs and a dog.
Her free time is occupied by reading, marathon training and rock climbing.
