Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Dr. Kaaren Howe, Medical Director, has worked in Minnetonka veterinary clinics since ninth grade. She received her D.V.M. from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 1990. She has been the primary care provider at Minnetonka Animal Hospital since 1994. Her passion is well-pet care, western medicine and ensuring that the care clients and patients receive exceeds their expectations. She received her MBA in 2009 from the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management and is certified in Veterinary Practice Administration from Purdue University Krannert Graduate School of Management.
Dr. Leilani
Hotaling received her D.V.M. from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 1991. She was certified by the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society in 1999, certified as Veterinary Chiropractor in 2000, certified in Canine Rehabilitation in 2006, and has received extensive training in western, eastern and herbal medicine. She has developed and implemented a successful integrated program that includes acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutritional consultation, chiropractic, rehabilitation and conventional western medicine. Dr. Leilani's customized and unique program has fostered the human animal bond by providing clients additional choices for their chronically ill pets or those with behavior problems. Her unique approach to animal care enables the improvement of companion animal's quality of life, provides options when other medical and surgical options have been exhausted and counsels clients on how to cope with their companion's challenges or end of life issues.
Dr. Amy Everly received her D.V.M. from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. She grew up in Iowa and settled in the Twin Cities following veterinary school. She is thrilled to be part of the Minnetonka Animal Hospital family, where she can pursue her passion for preventive medicine, Eastern medicine and dentistry. She is certified in acupuncture and is pursuing herbal and food therapy training through the Chi Institute. Her goal is to help our four-legged family members live long, happy, healthy lives.
